Physical Therapist

Dr. Alanna grew up in Pembroke, MA. She attended Sacred Heart University for both her undergraduate and graduate education. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science before going on to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

She also grew up as a competitive figure skater at the Skating Club of Boston.

Dr. Alanna has clinical experience working with a wide range of patients across various settings, including outpatient care, acute cardiac care, and home care. Her clinical knowledge also extends to athletes, including dancers, figure skaters, and hockey players, with a focus on injury prevention and return to sport. She is SafeSport certified and a certified U.S. Figure Skating coach.

She has completed coursework in integrative clinical studies that combines evidence-based care with whole-body, mind–body approaches. This includes techniques such as myofascial release and craniosacral therapy to support nervous system regulation, relieve pain, and restore optimal function.

She specializes in competitive high-performance athletics, with a focus on artistic and performance-based disciplines. She enjoys working with a wide range of patients — from those managing chronic pain to athletes optimizing performance, as well as individuals focused on improving their overall strength and health. Dr. Alanna when asked about working at Maritime Physical Therapy she said, “It is simple. The people. The community here is like no other, everyone feels like a part of the Maritime family.” When she is not working, Dr. Alanna pending time with friends, family and mini goldendoodle, Izzy Coaching Figure Skating as well as performing as a professional company member of American Ice Theatre of Boston
