Dr. Alanna Kubik grew up in Pembroke and competed as a figure skater with the Skating Club of Boston long before she treated anyone. She earned a bachelor of science in exercise science and her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Sacred Heart University, then built clinical experience across outpatient, acute cardiac care, and home care, which is a wide range of bodies and a wide range of hard days. She is SafeSport certified and a certified U.S. Figure Skating coach, and she works with dancers, figure skaters, and hockey players on injury prevention and return to sport. She is also trained in integrative and mind-body approaches including myofascial release and craniosacral therapy.
Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible’!
Having been the athlete waiting to be cleared, she does not treat return to sport as a date on a calendar. She wants to watch the movement hold up under the demands it will actually face, whether that is on ice, on a stage, or on the stairs at home. Her care tends to be equal parts hands-on and educational, so you finish knowing what changed and what keeps it that way.
