Dr. Brittney Mulligan was born and raised in Plymouth, so the names on her schedule are often neighbors. She went to Springfield College for both her undergraduate degree and her Doctor of Physical Therapy, graduating in 2019, and spent time at an outpatient clinic on Cape Cod before joining Maritime. She is certified in the Burdenko Method Part I and is a Balanced Body certified Pilates Reformer I teacher, and both shape how she builds a progression: control and balance first, then load. She works with athletes and runners, with pregnancy and postpartum patients, and with patients navigating BRCA.
If what she did yesterday still looks good to her tomorrow, she did nothing today.
Her standard is short and she holds herself to it first: work hard, build the plan around the actual person, and make the session something you do not dread. No two of her programs look alike, because no two runners, new mothers, or athletes returning to sport arrive with the same history or the same deadline. Expect to be pushed, expect to know exactly why, and expect to laugh at least once on the way through.
Away from the clinic, Brittney is with her family, on a trail, out for a run, or on a yoga mat. She also takes care of a flock of chickens, which is its own daily lesson in patience. The habits she recommends are ones she actually keeps, and that is part of why the advice tends to land.
