Dr. Jake Rowland grew up in Connecticut and moved to Atlanta after high school to keep playing baseball. He played collegiately at Union College and finished at Gettysburg College, then earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy at South College in Knoxville. Years on a roster taught him what a rehab plan looks like when it actually works: specific, progressive, and honest about where you are today. He treats the whole ecosystem around an injury rather than the sore spot alone, looking at movement quality, strength, recovery habits, lifestyle and mindset, because the thing that hurts is rarely the only thing that needs attention.
You can go fast alone, but further together. I am because we are.
His core values spell G.R.I.T. Growth, because a plan that never changes is not really a plan. Resilience, because progress is not a straight line and the work has to survive a bad week. Interpersonal connection, because you will tell your therapist things you would never tell a clipboard. Teamwork, because the person doing the reps at home is the one who decides how this ends.
Jake lifts, runs, and can be talked into pickleball or a round of golf without much convincing. He travels with his wife whenever the calendar allows, and the two of them are currently outmatched by a Bernedoodle puppy. There is a reason he asks what you want to get back to. He knows what it is like to need your body to cooperate with plans you have already made.
